St. Thomas, Syro Malabar Church of San Francisco honored their high school graduates on June 16th, 2019. Ceremony organised by CCD began with the celebration of the Holy Qurbana, followed by a felicitation speech by CCD teachers on moving forward and continuing to grow in faith. Vicar Fr George Attuparayil reminded the graduates that they are disciples of Jesus who are going out to the world, to be the light of the world and to continue spreading the Good News of the Lord.

He went on to explain what it meant to be disciples of Jesus and how to always include God in their life. To prepare them for the new chapters in their lives, Achan gave the graduates a special blessing and handed out a personalized memento to each graduate on behalf of the parishioners. Prior to collecting the memento, each graduate lit a candle in honor of Mother Mary before her blessed statue and prayed for her intercession. One of the graduates then gave a vote of thanks on behalf of all the graduates, thanking Vicar, CCD program leaders, all the Teachers and parents for all their hard work and support throughout.
