Yamaha Creates Motorcycle-Riding Robot
The robot revolution on roads have started. It begins with this motorcycle-riding automaton developed by Yamaha.
Named as Motobot, the simulated rider can mount an unmodified motorcycle and control steering, throttle, and braking using human-like movements.
Motobot was developed in collaboration with SRI International, and was first exhibited at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. Yamaha says the initial goal of the project is to achieve 124 mph on a riding circuit by 2017.
