Mr. Yohannan Philipose, Kottappurathu house, Erezha North, Chettikulangara, Kerala, was born on July 31st 1941. He was the second child of Philipose Yohannan and Baby Philipose, Kottappurathu house. He has one brother, Pastor John Philipose and three sisters, Saramma Daniel (late), Mariamma Thomas and Rachael Samuel. Yohannan married Susamma Samuel on May 5th 1975 and God blessed them with a son, Sujoy Yohannan and a daughter, Seena Yohannan. His daughter-in-law Susan Joy and two grand children Sion Sujoy and Sania Sujoy were a great blessing for him.

Yohannan was a very hard working person and a brave soldier. He served Indian army for several years before he came to USA. He was born again and baptized while serving Indian Army at Pathankot, Punjab, who was a great blessing to the people around him and the Church of God. Yohannan has been used by God to share the gospel and bring many to the salvation experience and alsoto build several churches. He was a strong pillar of the church and a great
source of comfort to both pastors and families. He stood strong for the truthand doctrines of the word of God. Yohannan supported missions in various parts of the world and extended a helping hand to poor and needy.

His loving sister Mariamma Thomas brought him to the United States in theyear of 1994. Yohannan worked hard until his retirement. He was a man ofprayer and spent hours in prayer. He was a source of advice and comfort to all.He was an inspiration to many, especially to the India Pentecostal Church,Philadelphia. He was a bible teacher for many years, through which the churchgot edified by the word of God. Even though he was going through sickness,he never complained. Instead, his smiling face comforted them who came tovisit him. He greatly loved United States of America and prayed fervently forthis nation. His valor and strong decision making abilities were a blessing to all.We will all miss him greatly. Our blessed hope is to see him again at the day of resurrection.

“…I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were
dead, yet shall he live.”
John 11:25
