The Malayalam book titled “Payeriyayile panineerpookkal” written by Sudhir Panikaveetil is a collection of his critical and analytical studies of literary contributions by many writers especially from the tristate area, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. No doubt, many of us only can agree the views and observation expressed by the author, Sudhir Panikkaveetil. He is a man of literary caliber. He writes essays, short stories, poems, humor. He is a man of literary authority. Actually he encourages people to read and write. He does not discourage or put you down. Even if you see some kind of poor quality or defects in any aspect with our literary expressions, he only sees the positive side and tries to correct the mistake with a positive touch and mild tap on your shoulder. Sudhir way of narration is beautiful, simple and understandable. His knowledge, grasp of ideas in its perspective is tremendously great and I can only appreciate. Even though right now I reside in Houston, Texas, I know him from New York itself. In fact he is presenting this book along with a collection of treasures during this Mother’s day period. I never knew that he lost his mother during his childhood. He submits his book to three of his mother’s sisters and he treats them as his mothers. So this mothers’ day, this is a great present for them and to the reading public. Sudhir, thanks for the book and I am going to read your book in its entirety.
